In this age of busy life, everybody is struggling to keep pace with the mainstream. Our physical action is increasingly becoming less every day. Instead, we are using our brain and the latest technology. In fact, the life is becoming monotonous and boring to many of us. What is necessary is to be near the nature for a sound sleep. According to Indian and foreign researchers, a new-born baby needs 12 to 14 hours of sleep. A child below the age of 12 needs to sleep 8 to 10 hours, while an adult's quota of sleep is 6 to 8 hours. Everybody's routine is different. Accordingly, time for sleep is also determined.
In our day-to-day life, facing of difficulties is nothing but natural. To overcome tiredness, tension and laziness, sleep is the best medicine. Bhopal Today Team talked about the necessity of sound sleep with those who know the best.
Dr. C P Devani, Chairman, MP Sindhu Bhawan Trust and owner, Devani Hospital said that sleep is a must to everybody. Sound sleep recharges our brain. Otherwise the brain may become ill. Due to our busy life or artificial items we are not systematic. 'Look at the villagers. They are happier than the city- dwellers. The reason is that they work hard and take full rest. Diabetes, blood pressure, ulcer is common among those who live in cities. These diseases affect your sleep. It is necessary that we should depend on the nature and natural items and live happily with sound sleep.
Dr. Pradeep Chourey is ENT Specialist. He advocates for natural sleep - sleep without the help of medicine. People buy expensive bed but most of the time sleep is far away from them. Generally sleep is a must for everybody. At different age group, the hours of sleep needed is varying. The climate also affects the sleep. During summer people can sleep for more hours.
For effective and sound sleep, we should have a systematic way of life. Food should be taken at proper time. Alcoholic drinks should be avoided. Have your dinner around 8 PM. The food should always be a balanced one. Carbohydrate in the food should be limited. We can go to sleep after two hours of dinner, he advised.
Riddhi Dabra is an engineering student in BN S College. When we are in the study mode, it is but natural that we are getting sleepy. But I am always taking care of my study as well as my food. For healthy entertainment, I do spend my leisure time with friends and family members. All these provide me sound sleep. Her recipe for sound sleep is to put a little oil on the head before going to sleep. This helps to keep the mind fresh, she added.
Rajkumar Pursnani is a student. He says that regular sound sleep is a must in our life. Usually, we are careless about it. The result is that we are faced with health problems for want of sleep. Whenever I get sleepy at night, I immediately will go to sleep and see that nobody disturbs me. He advised others to ensure sound sleep to maintain god health.
