Bhopal, Apr 20: Eight days Bhopal Carnival is running successfully
with the co-operation of Department of Tourism and Cultural
Secretariat and MP Handicraft Development Corporation. In
this carnival, handmade articles are on display which were
eye-catching. Artists of different places spellbound the people
by his art and culture. This carnival is being organised at
Gauhar Mahal in which handicraft made of clay, plaster of
Paris, wood, and wastes. Bhopal Today Team talked to some
artists of this event and knew about his sale situation.
Rajesh Shyam Lal Singh
He is from Ratlam. He says that this type of event inspires us to do something extra. I give a new touch to ornament designing. Engraving gold on lead is one of my unique specialities. Besides, in this fest Mughlai necklace set, Rajwari necklace, bracelet are available for sale.
Ravi Kumar (Handicraft artist)
He says that in this carnival items made of terracotta, clay, plastic and woods are available. We make plain pot and tray with hand which is praised by people. Our team created oily paint and coloured items also. The carnival give golden opportunity to artists.
Chhotelal Lodhi (Handicraft artist)
He has come from Chitarakoot. It is a great experience to participate in Bhopal carnival, he said. If artists got platform to show their talent, it is a pleasing moment for them. We have different items from Rs 100 to 500, he added.
Ajay Patil
He said, 'I am giving preference to attires. We have lot of variety to buyers like Saries, Embroidery bedsheet and printed wear cloths. This work is going on from long time. We have range of different stylish clothes from Rs 400 to Rs 900.
