Businessmen fearful due to attacks

Bhopal, Apr 20: On the attacking incidents on the businessmen the several organisations of businessmen have expressed their resentment.

State spokesman of Akhil Bharatiya Udyog Vyapar Mandal, Anupam Agrawal issuing statement said that the criminals attacking on Sevakram Ahuja have taken law in their hands and played with it. The businessmen are fearful due to the continuous attack on them.

The decision was taken in the meeting that if the criminals are not arrested soon then the businessmen would protest closing their shops.

President of Rice and pulses Vyapari Sangh, Ishwardas Sangtani said that the businessmen are being attacked broad day light and looted by the criminals. Earlier an oil merchant, Kanhaiyalal Jivnani was stabbed and killed. Similarly, rice merchant, Motiram Wadhvani was attacked at Royal Market Square , the attackers had tried to loot Rs 15 lakh stopping his vehicle.

Now the criminals attempted to murder the businessman , Sevakram Ahuja. Sangtani has also warned to protest through andolan.

President of Bhopal Kirana Vyapari Mahasangh, Kundandas Bhurani said that it has become difficult to run business in the city as the criminals are not being caught. The businessmen were attacked several times but the police only assured to take action and closed the chapter. He demanded the government and administration to provide security to the businessmen.

A businessman, Motiram Wadhvani said that the daring of criminals is on rise in the state including capital city. Chain snatching and firing incident are on rise in the city. Condemning the attempt to murder on Ahuja he said that if the criminals are not arrested then the businessmen would protest.

Bid on elderly woman's life

Bhopal, Apr 20: An elderly woman was attempted to murder crushing her head on Saturday in Bagh Mugalia Chhap village. Khajuri police have registered an attempt to murder case.

According to police, Kasturi Bai(65) , resident of Bagh Mugalia Chhap had gone to work near Ratan Vishwakarma's well last night.

Meanwhile, Babu Balai of the same village taking advantage of loneliness attempted to murder on Kasturi Bai, crushing her head with stone.

The accused left the elderly woman assuming that she was dead.

When Kishori Lal the nephew of Kasturi Bai searched her, she was found in unconscious state on the spot.

Police said that the reason behind the attack was old enmity between both the families. The elderly woman was admitted in Hamidia hospital in serious condition.

The accused has not been arrested yet.
