Ayyappa temple Prana Prathishta anniversary begins

Bhopal, Apr 19: The five-day 30th Prana Pratishta anniversary celebrations of Lord Ayyappa Temple of BHEL Bhopal began here on Saturday at the temple complex.

Ayyappa Sewa Sangham, BHEL, has urged the devotees to seek the blessings of Lord Ayyappa by participating in the special rituals being conducted by the priests from Kerala specially deputed by the 'Tantrikal' on his behalf.

On 20th evening there will be a cultural programme organised by Uma Maheshwar Dance and Music Acadamy immediately after the 'Deeparadhana'. The celebrations will conclude with the grand-finale of 'Maha-Annadanam' at the same venue on April 23 from 11.00 am.

The hill shrine of Sabarimala in Kerala and its deity Lord Ayyappa is matchless in Hindu religion. Lord Ayyappa is a symbol of religious unity and communal harmony. Being born out of Mohini, the female incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva, he is also known as Bhuthanatha, Dharmasastha, Hariharan, Ayyanar and Manikanta.

There are several temples dedicated to Lord Ayyappa all over India. Among these the important temples is the Lord Ayyappa Temple of BHEL Bhopal, established in the year 1978 with all rituals. The installation was done on April 23. Sabarimala temple is open to all, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, social status or nationality.

The Dr SA Pillai President and the Executive committee request all devotees to attend the Programmes on all days and seek the blessings of Lord Ayyappa.

MP Super Eleven Cricket Tournament underway

Bhopal, Apr 19: Madhya Pradesh Super Eleven Cricket Tournament is being organised under the aegis Jay Narayan College of Technology (JNCT) at the premises of the College from Friday. Under this tournament, today's match was played between Bhopal District Super Eleven and JNCT. Bhopal District Supper Eleven team defeated JNCT team and entered in quarterfinals.

Bhopal team took first batting and scored 157 runs in 16 overs but JNCT Team only scored 87 runs and they were all out. Azahar Siddiqui of Bhopal Team put up excellent performance and scored 50 runs and also bagged 4 wickets in the match. The second match was played between Chhindwara and Rajgarh. The team of Chhindwara defeated Rajgarh team by 10 wickets.

The another match was played between LNCT and Indore Municipal Corporation. LNCT team took first batting and scored 153 runs in 16 overs. Rahul Singh, Abhishek scored 43 and 15 runs while Indore Municipal Corporation team scored only 143 runs and they were all out. The other match was played between Bhopal Champions and Sagar Eleven on Saturday. Bhopal Champions defeated Sagar Eleven by 7 runs. Vikram Singh scored 40 runs.
