Bhopal, Apr 18: Shivangi Sharma is a celebrity now - for her impressive acting in the role of Gouri in TV serial, 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki' telecast by Star Plus channel. Her role in 'Kasturi', another serial, is of Anita. She has lakhs of admirers for her performance in the serials. She started her acting career with Balaji Telefilms. She is in the city in connection with inauguration of Children's Book Fair'. The Bhopal Today Team reporter met her.

Q. How did you happen to be in the world of acting?

A. I was interested in acting since I was a child. But I did not think of making a career in acting. When I got an offer from Balaji Telefilms to act in their serial 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki', I took it up seriously.

Q. Did you discontinue your studies?

A. Not at all. I am still continuing my studies.

Q. In 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki' you are doing a positive role, but in 'Kasturi' your role is negative. Could you do justice with both types of roles?

A. I never thought of doing negative roles. But when I was asked to do the role of Anita in 'Kasturi', I took it as a challenge and am doing full justice with both the roles.

Q. What do the viewers say?

A. The viewers have given me full marks for both the roles. Generally, when you are established in a particular image, the viewers do not accept you in a different type of role. But my negative roles are also being liked by the viewers.

Q. What are your plans for future?

A. I have not planned anything for the future. Let offers for good roles come, then I will decide.

Q. If you are offered a chance to act in films?

A. I do not want to work in films right now. At present, I am not prepared myself for that. Right now I would like to concentrate in TV serials. If offers come in future, I will think of it.

Q. Do you like to read books?

A. I don't get much time to read books. But when I get time, I prefer to read good story books.

Q. What kind of books the children should read?

A. Children should read such books which improves their knowledge. I would say that the children should learn a lot. Several types of good books for children are available in the market.

Q. How do you like Bhopal?

A. 'I love this city. Whenever I get time, I used to come here. Here I get mental peace and happiness'.
