State Bank of India (SBI) under its Business Process Re-Engineering Project has now taken one more step forward by centralising pension payment work of 2.50 lakh pension accounts handled by 593 pension paying branches spread across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, leveraging its Core Banking Solutions. The Centralised Pension Processing Centre (CPPC) has been set up at first floor of Bank, Govindpura Branch premises.
Chief General Manager of SBI DK Jain informed that the trained and expert staff posted at CPPC will ensure timely and accurate calculation of pension, DA, restoration of commutation. Pensioner's grievances will be minimised and attended to expeditiously thereby higher level of customer satisfaction and quick resolution of complaints will be ensured.
The Central Government Pensioner's can now change their pension branch in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh by giving a simple application.
The pensioners will continue to transact through branches where they maintain their accounts. They will continue to submit their periodical certificates like life certificate etc at the branches only. The pensioners need not come to the branches for withdrawing their monthly pension, instead, they can withdraw money anytime-anywhere (24X7) through SBI and Associate Banks ATMs. The branches will now have more time for customers, which will help in extending better customer service.
