Govt to ensure water, power and roads in every village

Bhopal, Apr 16: The state government is determined to ensure arrangements of drinking water, power and roads in every village. This was said by Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Rustam Singh while laying the foundation stone of a stop dam to be constructed at a cost of Rs 64.84 lakh at village Bamrauli in Janpad Morena Panchayat. The stop dam would be constructed under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.

Singh said that after construction of this stop dam, irrigation through pump sets would be possible in 400 hectares of land in village Bamrauli, 350 hectares in Sangoli and 250 hectares in village Naka and cattle would also get water to drink.

He said that construction of this stop dam would provide employment to 13750 labourers. Construction work would be undertaken by Executive Engineer of Water Resources Department.
