Plunder of public funds

The galloping inflation is a matter of serious concern to all the Indians as the prices of all the essential food items have been soaring to new heights. The poor have become poorer and the middle class, the retired and the old are being pauperised. There seems to be no end to the problem. With the elections due all over the country, the Central Government and the parties fighting elections all over the country are promising the moon if voted to power following the example of the DMK which has won the elections and squandered crores of rupees on the free TV sets which is not proper. Following this other parties have taken cues and are offering something better. There is even mention of Nano cars being offered to the electorate at huge discounted prices by the political parties if voted to power. This is nothing but plunder of public funds by the parties coming to power and has nothing to do with the welfare of the public at large and is not acceptable. The Election Commission should take a serious note of the matter and take appropriate action to curb the loot of the treasury.
