Bhopal, April 15: Evening time, Upper Lake's Bank, boating, scenery of swans swimming in the lake, and above all pleasant music tunes from guitar - all these makes your evening a very pleasant one.

Bhopal is also known as city of lakes and hills. In the summer evening, the Boat Club on the banks of Upper Lake is crowded. It is said that Raja Bhoj had got the Lake constructed. Looking into the considerable interest of the people, the MP Tourism Development Corporation has taken several steps to entertain the people.

There are 23 pedal boats, three big motor boats, two water scooters and one cruise at the Boat Club to entertain the tourists and the locals alike. The cruise has the capacity to carry 75 persons sitting. Ram Vikas Sirmelia's music is the best attraction to people for boating. They request the musician to play their favourite tunes. Mostly the young boys and girls are attracted towards the music of Sirmelia. The lakeside is converting into a picnic spot too. In the evening, people are coming here for entertainment and enjoy the scenario. Now that the examinations are over and it is time for the students to spend the vacation pleasantly, to forget the tension and enjoy fully. Boat Club Manager Suhail Qadir says they are trying their level best to provide healthy entertainment so that people remember forever the evening spent here. Shariq Khan says 'after the day's work is over and thinking to refresh the mood, I always come here. I like this place very much. The best item I liked here is the music programe.'

Seemin Khan, Teacher, said that she had spent her childhood in Bhopal. She used to come to the place very often. Every time I come here, I felt as if something new had added to the place. That's why I come here again and again. Just look at the lake and hear the music - you will wonder how fast the time has passed.

Ajay Khan says he is now 50 years old. I have been seeing the lake since I was a child. Even now, whenever I get some free time from work, I always come here for relaxing. Earlier, there was not much for entertainment like now. The change is welcome, he said.

Vivek Bhargava, BBA student, comes here at least two times in a week. I like to watch the Upper Lake sitting here for hours, he added.

LNCT College students Prachi, Anamika, Shuchi, Sufi, Shruti and Deepshika are upset that they could not come every day to the Boat Club due to the studies. But they visit the place at least once in a week regularly. Since staying in the hostels, they have no source of entertainment. Hence this place is doubly enjoyable - outing, boating and hearing of music.

Ms Shailey who came there with her family said 'Oh! Its really wonderful place, I love to come here. She added, 'We usually come here four or five time in a month and it may increase if any relatives come to our place' Sanjay, a college student said ' This is the only place of Bhopal where youth can enjoy the life, We usually visit this whenever we find time and when we get bored in our college, after seeing the natural beauty of the place a person forgets all his tensions.'
