Bhopal, Apr 14: The guest for glamour was confined to metropolitan cities thus far. But now it is gripping small cities and townships as well. In the wake of this trend, modelling and acting shows are being organised at small cities also where participants vie with each other to corner name, fame and glory.

'I want this world to get acquainted with my talents and remember me forever.' These are the words of a girl who has come here to give audition for Miss and Mr Lake City competition. She is among a whole lot of youths who are out earn huge sums of money by becoming a celebrity. Earlier, it was metropolitan cities, which hogged the limelight in the world of fashion. But now such functions have also started to be organised in small towns. This trend is giving opportunity to local youths also to show their talens and skills in modelling. This field has a wide scope where a youth can earn easy, quick money apart from hogging the limelight. Of late, city has also become a hub of fashion shows, cat walks and beauty contests.

Be it dance or singing competition girls and boys vie with each other for top honours with full vigour and enthusiasm. They say that such programmes give us a big pedestal, which facilitates us in our future career. Modelling is such a field where name, fame and money can be earned at a rapid pace.

The person who conduct such programmes say that a lot of programme on singing are aired on various TV channels where even children and youths from small cities take part and earn fame but there are only a few programmes on dancing and modelling. There is no dearth of talents in Bhopal. Therefore, we are providing them a platform to hone their skills.

In this series, an audition for dance and fashion show was held last night at Hotel Lotus. Youths grabbed this golden opportunity with both the hands and tried to outdo each other with their attractive performances. They danced vehemently and did the cat walk on the ramp. talked to a number of participants to know their views and explore their ambitions.

Farha Malik

She has passed class XII examination recently. Now she is dreaming of becoming a model. Farha is of the view that a person must do something unusual in the life. Therefore, I want to enter this field. I want to earn name, fame money in a short span of time. This is field through which entire world comes to know about you.

Shama Begam

She is multi-faceted personality. Apart from doing a job, Shama is also undergoing studies of B Com second year. Says she, 'I have the talents and guts to become a successful model. That is why I have entered this field. This is platform where there is ample opportunity to prove yourself and earn lots and lots of money. The world of acting and modelling is indeed very glamorous and I want to look glamorous.

Manjula Pandey

She believes that career holds utmost importance whether it is in education or glamour field. Now youths' interest in this field has started to grow tremendously. Everyone wants to try his luck in this field, which is harbinger of name, fame and moolah.

If luck favours someone, he or she clicks and becomes talk of the town.

Kopla Rakhede

She is just a kid, steadying in KG. Even then she harbours dreams of become an actress or dancer after growing up. She is taking lesson in dancing. Wherever an audition is organised in the city, she attends it with alacrity and great zeal. This does to gain experience for future.

Shaan Syed

A student of engineerin, Shaan Syed said that he wants to become a model. Though I have a bright future in engineering also, but I am trying to try my hand at modelling since it has unlimited scope of earning name and money. I believe that a person should enter this field after attaining some expertise and excellence if he wants to survive in the field for a long time.

Sunil Sharma

Sunil believes that modelling is a field where you have to look smart and attractive always. thus far programmes on modelling and dancing were seldom held. Such programmes give us a platform so that we can perform better in future. I want to seek career in this very field since it is my passion.
