Backwards' prosperity shows nation's richness

Bhopal, Apr 14: The state government would organise Ambedkar Mahakumbh here every year. Pilgrims from all over India would come here and return with inspiration for love for nation after having Darshan of the memorial. Giving the message of equality-oriented India, Dr Ambedkar had said that 'We are Indians first and last. Several schemes have been launched in Madhya Pradesh to fulfil the dreams of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Shri Chouhan said Ambedkar Mangal Bhawans have been built in 189 Vidhan Sabha constituencies in the state. Ambedkar ITI's have been opened. Ambedkar Swaraozgar Yojana is being implemented. Medhavi Chhatra Yojana has been started in the name of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Schemes like giving free cycles to scheduled caste girls, stipends on admission in various classes, bearing the expenses on higher education of a girl by declaring her 'Gaon ki Beti' on her passing class XII examination in first division and bearing the expenses on education of meritorious scheduled caste students in foreign countries. Now, Ambedkar Libraries would be set up in all the hostels for scheduled caste students. Works related to roads, power, water and approach roads would be done in scheduled caste predominant villages. Ladli Laxmi Yojana has been started in Madhya Pradesh to make daughter a boon. Arrangement of every daughter's marriage has been made under Mukhya Mantri Kanyadan Yojana. Industrial investment is fast increasing in Madhya Pradesh. Now efforts would be undertaken to ensure that people belonging to weaker sections get employment in private sector industries. The state government is also doing the work of safeguarding honour and self-respect of people belonging to weaker sections apart from giving fillip to education and employment.

Sah Sarkaryavaha Madan Das Ji Devi said that Dr Ambedkar had worked for public education and organisation. He had put in efforts to bring about equality in society. He had guided the nation by preparing the Constitution.

In his welcome address, Minister for Public Works Department and Information Technology Kailash Vijayvargiya said Baba Saheb Ambedkar wanted to generate self-confidence by carrying with him all the sections. The credit of starting Ambedkar Kumbh goes to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Every person coming to Mhow on Ambedkar Jayanti is being treated like a guest. Thousands of people have come since yesterday. Showing social equality, citizens of Mhow have made arrangements of food and drinking water etc. for the pilgrims. Many social organisations have also made contribution. The present government has given Rs ten crore for the memorial.

Bhandat Sadanand said that the state government has won the hearts of Baba Saheb Ambedkar's followers by constructing the memorial at his birthplace. Such activities should be undertaken at the memorial which might spread his message throughout the country. The country should be united instead of being divided. He said that the state government deserves praise for constructing such a good and beautiful memorial here. He said that land should be made available to Ambedkar Memorial Committee for undertaking other activities in future. Bhandat Shri Sanghsheel said that world's most beautiful memorial has been constructed in just 12 months and a 14-feet high statue has been prepared in only 14 days. This is indeed praiseworthy.

Scheduled Cates Finance and Development Corporation chairman Indresh Gajbhiya said that construction of this memorial is the proof of state government's will power. Dr Baba Saheb was an emblem of unity and integrity and fought against exploitation and repression.

Member of Parliament Satya Narayan Jatia said that by birth everyone is equal but differentiation crops up with time and thinking. Baba Saheb Ambedkar worked to bring about equality in society by trying to remove this disparity.

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Advani also released a booklet titled as 'Madhya Pradesh Main Anusuchit Jati Nai Rah Nai Disha' and another booklet brought out by Ambedkar Sansthan.
