SAM EUPHORIA-2008 begins

Bhopal, Apr 13: SAM EUPHORIA-2008 is being organised at the premises of SAM College of Engineering & Technology from Saturday. Sports related various activities were organised on Saturday. Several outdoor and indoor competitions were organised. Matches were organised between Electronics and Communication, Information and Technology, Electricals and Computer Science. The final match was played between Electronics and Communication and Computer Science teams.

In the indoor competitions, Carrom, Chess etc were organised. Gitesh Sunaiya (single) and Nitin Soni and Suraj Kumar (double) bagged prizes in Carrom Championship, while Pratik Chaurasia and Preeti Pandey bagged prize in Chess Championship.

Bhopal, Apr 13: Cricket Tournament would be organised under the aegis of Bhopal Divisional Cricket Association at Old Campion Ground, Arera Colony from April 19. The best 8 teams will be taking part in the tournament. It was informed by the Chairman of BDCA Dhruv Narayan Singh, Secretary Dr Shafkat Mohammad Khan, Organising Secretary Dr Sushil Singh Thakur. The match would be played from 9 am and it would be organised for 50-50 overs.

An amount of Rs 21000 would be given as first prize and Rs 11000 would be given as second prize. A committee has been established for the successful organising. Rajat Mohan Verma, Hamid Ullah Khan Mamu, Pradeep Deshmukh, LM Gill, Shanti Jain, Jyoti Prakash Tyagi, Suresh Chainani, Sazid Noor, Haimant Kapoor, Rajeev Saxena, Baba Saheb, AS Singh Dev etc have been included in the committee.
