Delhi, Punjab artistes to present programmes

Bhopal, Apr 12 : Punjabi community is going to celebrate Baisakhi with great fervour. Baisakhi Mela has been orgainsed at Dussehra ground, TT Nagar on April 13. Governor, Dr Balram Jakhar would be the chief guest of the programme, while Mayor, Sunil Sood would be present as special guest.

Punjabi and Sikh community people celebrate Baisakhi traditionally when after the harvesting of their crops reach at home in the form of grains and the community people show their happiness by dancing and singing.

In this connection Bhopal punjabi community every year organises Baisakhi Mela at Dussehra ground TT Nagar on April 13. Bhopal Punjabi community president, VK Grover, general secretary, Captain KK Ahuja told that artistes belong to Punjab and Delhi would present cultural programmes in the fair.

With a view to make the fair interesting at around 20-25 stalls for edible items, demonstration of renowned company's products, swings and camel riding for children would be available. Entry in the Baisakhi Mela would be free of cost. Senior members of Punjabi community including Dr Sunil Kapoor and Sadhna Kapoor, Dr Gurdeep Singh and GM Arora would be felicitated on the occasion. Responsibility of organisation has been given to senior vice president, DK Kapoor.
