Petrol price

It refers to Union Petroleum Minister seeking cut in import-duty by five-percent on crude to save public-sector oil-companies from financial crunch. But public-sector petroleum-companies can save much by taking some steps by themselves, and some others by Union Petroleum Ministry.

It is senseless to offer upto five-percent discount on petrol by oil-companies on petrol purchased through credit-cards of some select banks mostly of private sector. Union Petroleum Ministry can save much for these companies by drastic cut in overheads by merger of these companies in one single company.
