SIMI activists remanded to judicial custody

Rajgarh, Apr 10: Two activists of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) arrested by the police last night from the Biora tehsil were remanded to 15 days judicial custody by a local court today.

The information about these two activists identified as Intikhab alias Ballu (27) and Aftab (24) was received from the diary of SIMI workers arrested from Sehore following which they were nabbed by the police last night, Rajgarh Suprintendent of Police D K Arya told PTI.

As per information two prominent SIMI leaders Qamaruddin and Aamil Parvez were regular visitors to their places and police also recovered objectionable documents from their house, he said.

They were produced before Biora's judicial magistrate Madhavrao Ghodki, who remanded them to custody for 15 days.

They were arrested on charges of indulging in unlawful activities.
