Bhopal, April 10: The Rural Development Department of the State Government is organising the Summer Haat at the Bhopal Haat premises from April 4 to April 27. Members of Self Help Groups from the villages of different districts will come to the Haat with their expertise in handicrafts, handlooms and edible items. Apart from this, items produced by Self Help Groups of other states like Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Orissa, Punjab and Bihar will be exhibited and sold in the Haat. As it is summer now, cotton and handloom items from other states will be given importance.

Leather, furniture, marble products, terracotta and other decorative items from other states will also be displayed. Eatable items prepared of wheat, rice, daal, and pickles will be exhibited and sold.

Fab India will also display its items in the Haat. The Handicrafts Department and Trifed would display their items in the Haat.

The timings of the Haat will be from 2 PM to 10 PM daily. Cultural programmes, Gazal Sandhya, Orchestra, Tribal Dance and Band are some of the programmes during the Haat days. The cultural programme will be in the evening of all Holidays .

Those who come to the Haat will be able to taste the delicious dishes of North India and the South India at the Food Plaza.
