Madhya Pradesh a relatively peaceful State, in the heart of India is passing through a difficult period. Arrest of several members of the banned organisation, Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) throughout the State and revealing of the body's dangerous intentions have jolted the MP police. The whole country too is on alert. SIMI's state head Safdar Nagouri along with his colleague Kamruddin Nagouri was arrested from a nearby village of Ujjain. On the basis of statement of SIMI's state head and his companions, police raided several hideouts in the State. This action is continuing. It is said these anti-social elements have links with national and international level terrorists organisations. The terrorist organisations include Al-Qaeda Huzi and Lashkar-e-Taiyaba. Ujjain is said to be the biggest den of SIMI in the State along with other places including Indore, Bhopal, Narsinghgarh, Sehore, Vidisha, Hoshangabad, Katni, Narsinghpur and Satna. Along with these cities even the small and big towns are in grip of SIMI. Moreover, the banned SIMI has formed a woman wing in which educated women are recruited. During interrogation of SIMI activists by Intelligence officers it came to light that SIMI is associated with terrorist organisation HUZI. According to Intelligence report, SIMI has around 300 active workers. Personal diary of SIMI member, Kamruddin has revealed this secret. The diary was recovered from the residence of Abdul Karim Ansari who was caught at Sehore. SIMI activist of Bhopal organised meetings in Hamidia Manzil. Till date 68 SIMI activists have been arrested so far. The so called mastermind of SIMI, Deshmukh is at large for last 8 years. The traitors do not belong to any caste, religion. Now, it has become essential to root out completely the anti-nationals from the Indian soil.
