New Delhi, Apr 9:
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday filed an affidavit in court in connection with the 1984 anti-Sikh riots involving veteran Congress leader Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar.
However, in a bid to avoid any controversy, the central investigating agency has refused to reveal the names and identity of the four eyewitnesses in the case.
The court has asked CBI to keep it posted about the developments in the case. The next hearing is on May 14.
The CBI has been receiving flak from the judiciary for its lackadaisical attitude in probing cases of anti-Sikh riots of 1984.
Earlier, on March 19, it had filed the status report in the Karkardooma court, pertaining to the statements of four victims of the violence that broke out in the aftermath of the assassination of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
