Gramsabha for the implementation of Forest Act would be organised on April 14 and claims of the villagers (in fevour) are to be presented on this occasion but due to lack of publicity and providing information to the villagers, they are unable to get information regarding this matter and they can not submit their claims on the day.
The Chief Secretary, Government of Madhya Pradesh Rakesh Sahni expressed anxious and directed to all the District Collectors through Video Conferencing on Tuesday that they must play active role in the implementation of Forest Act. He also got feedback about the claims, which have been received till now.
Chief Secretary Rakesh Sahni discussed with all the District Collectors through Video Conferencing on Tuesday from Secretariat and directed to them that must create awareness among the villagers in maximum level.
They must send information immediately regarding this matter. He also directed that they must help from the voluntary organisation for filling application forms if necessity. The proposal of block and district level committees has been received and final plan is being made about committees. The Principal Secretary of Tribal Welfare Department OP Rawat said that around 13 street play teams have been sent for creating public awareness in the districts.
The District Collectors informed that the training works on district level have been completed. District Collector of Shahdol said that 442 application forms have been received till now, while District Collector of Jhabua said that 1037 application forms have been received till now. The Principal Secretary of Forest Department Prashant Mehta and Principal Secretary of Civil Supplies MK Rai also discussed with the District Collectors during the Video Conferencing.
