Sri Lankan air force jets destroyed a Tamil rebel base believed used to train suicide attackers Monday, a day after a suicide bomber killed a government minister and 13 others outside the capital, the defense ministry said.

Bangladesh and India are set to sign here on Tuesday a supplementary deal on the commissioning of the trans-national passenger train service between the two countries on April 14 as the Cabinet approved the final draft on the deal, officials and reports said on Monday.
