Jamuna demands white paper from Govt

By Our Staff Reporter

Bhopal, Apr 7: Opposition Leader in the State Assembly, Ms Jamuna Devi has demanded from the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the state government to release white paper on the actions taken in combating price rise. During her Lok Sabha election campaign at Amla block in Betul district on Monday, she asked Shivraj Singh Chouhan and state BJP President Narendra Tomar 17 pointed questions.

Ms Devi asked the Chief Minister that whether the Essential Commodities Act was enforced by the state government. When the Essential Commodities Distribution and Black Marketing Controlling Act was in force, why action was not taken against the hoarders and blackmarketeers, she added.

Further she asked the Chief Minister what action has been taken by the state government to combat price rise. Did the Chief Minister reviewed the price control of essential commodities, she asked.

Ms Devi questioned that when prices are soaring in the state, why did the state government increase the electricity rates too.
