Gudi Padwa celebrated with zeal

Bhopal, Apr 7: The City of lakes celebrated Hindu New Year Gudi Padwa with great zeal and enthusiasm on Monday.

People conveyed best wishes of New Year through loud speakers. People took part in-group prayers in hundreds of temples in the city and take oath to preserve Hindu culture. Various organisation took march past with huge drums and percussion. In this function Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajarangdal, Seva Bharti, Abhinav Bharat, Sanskar Bharat, Navalaya and other Hindu organisation members were participated.

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad celebrated Hindu New Year with boarding students in RGPV hostels on Monday. On this occasion ABVP workers distributed sweets and wished them. They also appealed to the students to protest of terrorist attacks and make awareness in the masses about it.

Cultural night at Power Distribution Co

`Sanskritik Kala Manch', the cultural organisation of the officials and employees of Central Zone Power Distribution Company organised a cultural night at Sanskritik Bhawan on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. The officials and employees presented evergreen songs, dual songs and ghazals that attracted the audience.

Chief Engineer of Bhopal zone, PK Mishra and Ms Mishra, senior welfare officer, Rakesh Malviya and Superintending Engineer Vijay Mishra inaugurated the programme with Saraswati pooja.

Saraswati Vandana was presented by Hansdwani Peria, Yati Peria, Sardar Darshan Singh and convener, PD Peria.

On the concluding ceremony of the programme the Chief Engineer, PK Mishra, Superintendent Engineer, Vijay Mishra, senior welfare officer, Rakesh Malviya gave away memento to the artistes. Several officials and employees were present in the programme.
