Bhopal, Apr 6: SPORTOMANIA-2008 is being organised at the premises of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) from April 4. Various championships and games were organised on Sunday.

In the Table Tennis, JNCT claimed an emphatic win over RKDF and in another match Radharaman clinched an easy win over SSSIST.

In the Basketball Championship, hosts MANIT stole the show by clinching an easy 48-19 win over SIST. In another match SIRT lost to Bhabha (scored 23-35 respectively). NRI came victorious in a nail-biting match against UIT-BU (32 to 23 points). In a match against LNCT, OIST came claimed victory by 37 to 18 points.

In the Cricket Match, JNCT won by 11 runs in their match against OGI and NNCT scored 120 for 9 in this 20-20 match with Akshat top scoring with 30 runs. Abdul from OGI impressed with this bowling figure of 4 for 15 runs. In another match Radharaman lost to Bansal by 8 wickets with Ankur top scoring with 58 runs for Bansal. Top score of the match was from Jayesh of Radharaman, scoring 79 off 56 bowls.

In Snooker, Harmeet and Deepak Tomar from MANIT crushed their opponents JNCT with a straight 2-0 win. In another match, Vedica lost to Bansal and RITS claimed victory over SIRT.
