Spirit of social service at Day-care center

By Our Staff Reporter

Bhopal, Apr 6: We probably do not think about donating our organs to any body and even we also do not think about the organ donors; may be we all our engaged in our very busy schedule and don't have the too much time for thinking about the social work. But city witnessed the spirit of social service at the Day-care center here in the city at the free medical health check-up camp and Eye-Organ donation camp, organized by the Senior Citizen Forum (SCF) on Sunday. At least 100 people get registered for the organ and eye donation in the camp.

Regarding the camp the SCF Secretary kshipra Bhattacharya said organs would be beneficial for those people, who are suffering from lack of the organs and their survival is tough. After the death of the people we never know where will we go? Our organs can give new birth to other persons and we should be ready for it. Explaining the 'Geeta,' she said our soul changes the bodies like cloths. Bhattacharya said we thought about organizing this camp after a kidney scandal busted some times ago. The needy people are really suffering from the corruption. They never get proper treatment. The camp is organized for generating public awareness and people is ready to support, she further said. Meanwhile, SCF President SS Saraswat said our aim is to provide maximum organs to the people and this social service can never be compared with any other services. It is worth mentioning scores of people came with the enthusiasm along with their families. Several persons held the discussions and consultations the issue of organ-eye donation.

"We were about to donate our eyes, but now thinking about donating the organs also. Body will also be used even after our death. Middle class people will get the benefit, as they suffer from the lack of the medical treatment," said Bhavna Pillai. Pillai came in the camp with her family along with her father and mother-In-Law. Her entire family has donated the organs.
