Parting with city difficult

Bhopal Today Team

Bhopal, Apr 3: Bhopal with it's scenic beauty, culture and the spirit of unity and oneness captures the heart and soul of anyone who has ever walked unto this historical land. With the modern age demanding the youngster's movements towards the metros and foreign nations for bright future prospects. What all stays back in them, what are their memories of this place which once used to witness their smiles, sorrows and success. We communicated with some such young people who are now or have been to distant places and enquired as to what's so special about this city that has been an abode of their School and College days. An intrigue soul searching, especially for you.

Suhas Shirbavikar, a young girl who graduated from an Engineering College in Bhopal posting in Chilka, Orissa, as a Sub-Lieutenant feels great, but the ambience of this city is what she misses a lot. I love Bhopal and everything associated with this place. I miss the newly opened Coffee Shops, the malls and especially the Garbas and festive occasions which are celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm over here. Being a member of the Navy, fills in me lot of pride that I am serving the nation in all possible ways but those special moments being with your family and in your hometown is what I really miss, adds Suhas now on a short visit.

Anita Negi residing in Oklahoma U.S.A. misses her family, friends and the beautiful lakes of Bhopal. Pursuing higher studies and looking after her family is what Anita is currently involved with. The values that one gains from your place is what stays back, no matter where you are. Although United States has everything to offer but the days spent in this city will always linger in my mind, is what she keeps telling her mother all the way from the U.S.A.

Sadhana Chansoria an MBA, now working for ICICI says that it's great being back in Bhopal. I was in Indore for my studies and all those days were spent in missing the beauty of this place. Along with being away from the family, friends and craving for food cooked by my mother I used to picture in my mind the calmness and serenity of the lakes, the culture and festivities of our city.

Ashish Sharma who belongs to Bhopal has been away from his favourite city, earlier for studies and now for job requirements. I completed my B. Tech from Kurukshetra and after that I am based in Hyderabad working with a Private Company. What I really miss is the quite ambience and the contented life of Bhopal as against the metros where the daily routine leaves no time and space to relax. The Upper Lake, Van Vihar and the places of cultural and historical significance adds to the charm of our city and that's why it is so special for me.

Bhopal is the hot favourite amongst all those who have been a part of the life and style of this unmatched destination and they all agree to the idea never to say goodbye to this adorable city and this is what Bhopal too would like to convey to all the admirers...Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.
