Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shiv Raj Singh Chouhan, Culture Minister Laxmikant Sharma, Parliament Member Sumitra Tai Mahajan are expected to attend a function on Gudi Padwa day at Mulla Ramoji Cultural Bhavan here.
The Bhawan is being decorated tastefully to celebrate the famous Marathi festival, 'Gudi Padwa' On this occasion Kala Panchang will be released and announcement will be made to start the Marathi section.
Marathi section chief Ganesh Bagdare informed that 'Gudi Padwa' is an important festival of Marathis. It will be auspicious to begin the Marathi section under the Madhya Pradesh Sanskriti Parishad on this day, he said.
'Swagat Navvarshache' (Welcome New Year) programme will be organised on Gudi Padwa day. On this occasion, 'Marathi Sanskriti Darshan' will also be organised. A Rangoli programme depicting the Marathi tradition will also be organised. Photos and paintings of famous Marathi Saints and other important personalities of Maharashtra will be displayed in the premises.
