The 33rd Iftekhar Memorial Cricket Tournament is being organised at Bab-E-Ali Cricket Ground. Today's match was played between Irani Club and St Michael Academy. But Irani Club won the semifinal match by 9 runs and entered in final.
The captain of Irani Club Abid Ali won the toss and took first batting. Virendra Viadya scored 48 runs with the help of 6 boundaries and one six. Brayan John scored 50 runs with the help of 8 boundaries and 1 six. The team scored 262 runs in selected 40 overs. Captain Abid Ali also scored 55 runs with the help of 4 sixes and 2 boundaries. Imran Khan scored 31 runs in 21 bowls with the help of 3 sixes and 2 boundaries. Madan Yadav scored 31 runs, while Muslim, Shankar, Anupam Gupta, Suraj Bagora scored 3, 1, 0 and 1 run respectively. The Irani Club total scored 262 runs selected 40 overs.
Shane Alam of St Michael Academy bagged 3 wickets to give 25 runs, Salman Beg bagged 3 wickets to give 48 runs Muktdir Ullah bagged 2 wickets to give 34 runs. Sameer of St Michael Academy scored 54 runs in 46 bowls with the help of 1 six and 6 boundaries. Salman scored 23 runs, Shane Alam scored 51 runs. But the Irani Club won the match by 9 runs.
Anupam Gupta bagged 2 wickets to give 30 runs, Jubin John bagged 3 wickets to give 47 runs, Suraj Bagora and Muslim bagged 1-1 wicket respectively. Abid Ali was awarded as Man of the Match by Hamidullah Khan Mamu. The president of Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha Vishwas Sarang took introduction to the players of both teams. On the occasion, Secretary Hamid Ullah Khan Mamu, Zubaid Kidwai, Subhash Borana, KD Rasid, Asmat Siddiqui and large number of cricket lovers and others were present.
