As much as 92000 tonnes of wheat has been procured on support price from farmers so far in Madhya Pradesh. The arrival of wheat in mandis is increasing constantly and the Food and Civil Supplies Corporation and other agencies would achieve the target of procuring 10 lakh tonnes of wheat this month. This was informed at a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at his office to review the progress of wheat procurement here today.
The Chief Minister directed the officers to ensure full and timely payment to farmers and to make arrangements for Hussein bags as per requirement at the procurement centres. Chouhan also directed to ensure availability of adequate funds for payment to the farmers.
It may be mentioned here that the state government is providing a bonus of Rs 100 per quintal on procurement of wheat at support price of Rs 1000 per quintal.
The meeting was informed that the 83,079 tonnes of wheat has been procured through the centres of Civil Supplies Corporation, 3,792 tonne by Food Corporation of India, 1,233 tonne by Markfed and 648 tonne by Nafed. The procurement is continuing. Chief Secretary RC Sahni and other senior officers attended the meeting.
Rs 3.35 lakh sanctioned for Bar Assn libraries

A sum of Rs 3.35 lakh has been sanctioned for 15 libraries of District Bar Associations of nine districts. This amount has been sanctioned on the initiative of Law and Jail Minister Antarsingh Arya. The fund would help in making law books available to the lawyers.
Out of Rs 3.35 lakh, libraries of Bar Associations of Multai and Bhainsdehi in Betul district and Jhabua would get Rs 25,000 each while Rs 10000 each has been sanctioned for Bar Association libraries in Jobat and Thandla.
Similarly, Rs 25000 each has been sanctioned for Bar Association libraries at Badwani, Sendhwa in Badwani district, Shahdol, Jaisingh Nagar in Shahdol district and Udaipura in Raisen district and Vidisha while Rs 20000 each has been sanctioned for libraries at Khargone and Maheshwar in Khargone district.
There is large number of advocates belonging to scheduled tribes in Jhabua, Badwani, Betul, Shahdol, Khargone and other districts but due to their tribal background their economic condition is not very sound and therefore, they are not in a position to purchase law books to prepare their cases properly and present the same in the court. With this in view, Law Minister Arya, sanctioned this amount to these libraries.
