Pak must set its house right: New PM's old raga

New Pakistani Prime Minister, Yousaf Raza Gilani has started harping on Kashmir raga. In his first speech based on policy, he said that Kashmiris would be kept in mind during bid to solve Kashmir issue and their sacrifice would not be allowed to go waste. After winning vote of confidence, Gilani addressing the assembly. He said that maintaining peace and eradication of terrorism would be his first priority. Statement of Gilani is controversial. On one hand he talks about maintaining peace and eradication of terrorism and the other he talks about not letting the 'sacrifices of Kashmiris' go waste, whereas the entire word knows that extremist forces and terrorist groups have shed blood of innocent people. At any cost the terrorists active in Kashmir should not be glorified. Gilani's statement even belies the statement of joint president of Pakistani People's Party, Asif Ali Zardari that for maintaining better relations with India the Kashmir issue would be kept aside at present. Moreover, Zardari said that Kashmiris should wield pens rather than guns. Gilani's speech seems to express that he believes in interference of third party to solve Kashmir issue. Gilani also did the same after coming into power in his statement, which had been often repeated by earlier administrators. Communal forces and rooted terrorist activities on the land of Pakistan, are the greatest challenges for the country. Pakistan is already far behind in the development race. For moving towards development and prosperity the people of Pakistan require natural company of India. It is only possible when Gilani in his first priority, should maintain peaceful atmosphere and root out terrorism. According to latest report of Home Ministry of India, dreaded terrorists outfits like Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed have deepened their roots in Pakistan. Pakistan should reform internal atmosphere. Kashmir is peaceful and people are happy there, because they are Indian and would remain. Their peace and normalcy get disturbed when unnecessary interference started from Pakistan. Gilani should think about what is better for masses. He should take initiative in this direction because India can show the way of development in a better way.
