Bhopal, Mar 28: Shankar Sonane a versatile writer who won near about a-half-dozen awards, believes writer is mirror of society. It is moral responsibility of writer to reflect whatever happening in the society through his writing.

He concerns over as today's young generation is derailed from habit of reading and writing. He is planning to write for such youths, which may inspire these youth for the betterment of society.

He is very optimistic about his writing and till date his 25 books have published and some are in the process on publishing. He has written 8 collections of poem, 4 novels, one collection of Gazal and 7 books on medicine. Besides the books, he has left his foot print on Door Darshan and in 1991 produced a movie Dird Ke Siran, which is discussed for long time.

He has been awarded with several awards for his contribution in writing; like Tulsi Samman 2004, Rashtriya Srijan Seva Ratna Samman 2005, Kabir Samman 2005, Ranjan Kalash Samman and Vivekananda Samman etc. Still his worship of writing is going on.
