Journey of Hindi Theatre

Bhopal, Mar 28: Hindi Theatre is very close to life as compare to Hollywood and Bollywood movies because it reflects the rational and common problems faced by common man in day to day life. It has very little space for imagination, fantasy and exaggeration of actual situation.

Really speaking, theatre work is very difficult and laborious task in comparison to acting for movies or serial. Every time an artist has to give above the capability performance (I+1 performance) in theatre as there is no retake. To stage a single drama of three hours, artist has to practice for more than a month or two.

No one has second thought that Hindi Theatre is galloping from last two decades and mounting new peak. New emerging modern technologies are boosting for robust development of theatre. Besides, media is also playing significant role for the publicity of theatre in various ways.

Public awareness regarding theatre is increased unprecedented. In the present day theatre is available for every man as it is available at affordable price which can be easily borne by common man said Sanjay Mehta, veteran artist during the interview with Bhopal Today Team.

In the panoramic view on national level Hindi Theatre has beaten regional theaters like Marathi, Gujarat and Bengali theatres which were prominent once upon time. It is notable that Hindi theatre is developing on the international level too, for the commercial aspects. But in general, die-heart artist work for applaud of audience, money is secondary thing which comes latter.

In a reply to question that what changes are taking place in the Hindi Theatre, Sanjay Mehta said young educated students are inclining towards the theatre art. Being as learned these youngsters possess various qualities of head, hand and heart. They are well versed in tongue and have sense to feel the feeling on character that they are going to play. This young generation is real ray of hope for Hindi Theatre.

He added, recently I staged a drama named Skand Gupta, which was appreciated by audience and its performance was above our expectation. During the hours of drama presentation there is direct relationship between artists and audience, as they applaud we get more energy and enthusiasm to give our better performance.

Theatre is school

Sarfaraj is working in the arena of theatre from last six years said that he learns something in every performance. He believes, real acting comes from the depth of heart. Theatre is like school, which helps to develop our personality.

Makes aware of culture

Manoj Shrivastava, an theatre artist said that theatre work help him to learn about our culture.

Give positive approach

Ranjeet Singh is working in theatre form last three-month and performed in two different plays. He said that working in theatre is stimulating and thrilling experiences for him. Theatre helps gives positive and optimistic approach towards life.

Career prospects

Girish Bhutiya is working in Hindi Theatre from last few months and determined to continue in this field said that there is lot of scope for better prospect in the field of theatre.

It fills colours

Jitendra Agrawal said that it is unique platform, which fill real colour in one's life. Theatre gives new experience every day.

Applaud is enough

Inder Singh Thakur, a veteran artist is working in this field form that last two decades said that he has been witness of lots of changes in arena of theatre. He said most of the changes were positive and brought name, fame and glory not only to artists but also to Hindi Theatre.
