Rs 338 crore for TT Nagar CBD

By Our Staff Reporter

Bhopal, March 27: The cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today approved the re-densification plan CBD (Central Business District) of South TT Nagar. For this, sole financial offer of Rs 338 crore was received for 15 acres of land which was approved by the cabinet.

It may be mentioned that under Capital Project single-story residential units were constructed for government employees in the year 1958. In view of development of commercial centre near this area and due to South TT Nagar's commercial importance, the state government had chalked out a plan for a commercial complex in 15 acre land in South TT Nagar.

In all, there are 192 'G' type dilapidated houses on this 15 acre land out of which 133 houses have been evacuated and the employees living in them were provided houses in nearby areas. The alternative arrangements for rest of 59 employees have also been made in 'G' types houses of the same size in Tulsi Nagar area.

The cabinet has also decided to reimburse Rs 1.50 crore to MP Housing Board which is being spent by the Board on the permanent and temporary construction of school building under the scheme.

The Cabinet approved South TT Nagar's re-densification scheme CBD. For this the sole offer to the tune of Rs 338 crore for 15 acre land was approved. This offer has been given by the sole bidder Gamon India Ltd.
