A cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has approved the new structure of Forest Department today. According to it, Forest Department would now have 13,997 posts of forest guards, 4,184 posts of foresters, 1257 posts of deputy rangers, 1192 posts of rangers, 358 posts of assistance conservators of forests, two thousand 829 posts of clerks, 731 other non-gazetted posts and 24 gazetted posts. The cabinet granted to fill presently vacant posts of Forest Guards and filling of Forest Guards' posts in coming years in that particular year in which the posts fall vacant.
The cabinet also endorsed the order of the Chief Minister to provide government security up to 31.3.2009 for getting Rs 16 crore loan from Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Bank as working capital by The Morena Zone Cooperative Sugar Mills, Kailaras for sugarcane crushing for the current season 2007-08.
The cabinet also approved the Chief Minister's order for reopening of Malwa Cooperative Sugar Mills, Barlai, district Indore and financial assistance to Ishwam Cooperative Sugar Mills and Agriculture Industry Ltd Vishrampur, district Khandwa.
The cabinet endorsed the circular issued by the Revenue Department for amendment in Part-6 No-4 of Revenue Book of Circulars. According to it, words 'earthquake, drought and fire incidents' were included in the first sentence of paragraph-1 of No-4. The cabinet approved the proposal to delete Sargara caste from the list of backward classes. As per Gazette notification of Government of India dated December 18, 2002, Sargara caste has been included in scheduled tribes. Therefore, approval has been given for the above mentioned amendment in the notification F 23-4-97-54-1 dated April 2, 1997 of Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department.
Cabinet endorses Aam Admi Bima Yojana

The state cabinet today endorsed an Aam Admi Bima Yojana (Common Man Insurance Scheme) for rural landless families. The cabinet decided to make the Social Justice Department the nodal agency of its implementation at the state level and the Zila Panchayats at district level. It was decided that the Vivekanand Group Insurance Scheme would continue till March 31,2008 only. The non-landless rural families subsisting below poverty line and all the BPL families in urban areas would be covered under Janshri Bima Yojana in year 2008-09. The Janshri Bima Yojana would also be implemented like Aam Admi Bima Yojana.
The Aam Admi Bima Yojana has been implemented from October 2, 2007 for the landless rural workers through Life Insurance Corporation of India. The Government of India has fixed an annual premium of Rs. 200 per member for implementation of this scheme. Of this, Rs. 100 per member would be shared by Government of India from Special Economic Fund and Rs. 100 would be contributed by the state government. The persons between 18 and 59 years of age would be covered under the scheme. The insured member should be the head of the rural landless family or an earning member working in the family. Under the scheme, in case of natural death of an insured person the dependent family would get Rs. 30 thousand, in case of accidental death or permanent disability Rs. 75 thousand and in case of loss of one eye or a hand or a foot in an accident Rs. 37 thousand 500 would be given. The insured members would be given a free aid-on scholarship. Under this only two students of IX to XII in a family would get a stipend of Rs. 100 per month.
