When an all encompassing greed has pushed the world to the verge of a doom's day, Tibet is the only spiritual place left which can teach global traders how to reign in their passion for accumulation of wealth and power.
Recently, the scientist community across the world have warned the planet earth has only 10 years left for extinction due to global warming. There is one thing which can save the world today is spiritualism. Today the world's spiritual capital is under seize. The only fault of the Tebetan monks is that they want to preserve their spiritual identity, which they have been holding for centuries. It is not only spiritualism Tibet is far ahead of others in mastering the mind power and harnessing cosmic energy. According to many eye witness accounts, Tibbetan monks perform incredible feats like difficult operation in bare hands, walking over hills like a floating clouds and many unbelievable things. If we believe the eye witness accounts, we have to admit that they are an advanced human race and their science is far ahead of others.
China in order to tighten its political control over Tibet has made a number of overt and covert attempts to cleanse the Tibetan culture from its root since 1950 when it has forcibly occupied this unique Himalayan Kingdom. In order to upset the demographic composition of Tibet, China had first settled 60,000 Chinese in Tibbet in 1985. Now over 2.5 million Chinese have settled in Tibbet as a part of the China's policy to outnumber Tibetans in their home land. Pushing people to settle in occupied territory is a clever ploy to influence favorable political decision which dictatorial China has been doing for decades. This is talibanisation of another kind which is far worse than what has happened in Afghanistan.
In the Lhasa uprising of 1959, Chinese army had killed around 87,000 Tibetan budhists. According to the exiled Tibetan Government over 1.2 million innocent Tibetan budhist monks have been killed by Chinese army in the last five decades. On 14 March 2008, the Tibetan budhist monks' peaceful protest turned into sporadic violence under the administration of Zhang Quingll who is known for his repressive measures. Tibetans at gun point were forced to condemn their most revered spiritual leader Dalai Lama. Chinese official media Xinhua, which is the only media functioning, painted the protest as violent which caused an estimated loss more than 99 million yuan. The Chinese officials at their vilest hate campaign painted Dalai Lama as traitor and a wolf in the monk's robe.
The attack on Budhist monks reminisces the Talibans demolishing the world's tallest Budha's statue widely known as the Bamiyan Budha. Such attack was camouflaged as an exercise to restore law and order problem in this Himalayan region. The sole government media Xinhua prepared the ground work for the military action against the Budhist monks in their own home, under the very nose of the International community. It was not known how many monks were arrested and how many were crippled and killed during the army repression since no foreign media was allowed to report. The Monks' protest in March was the biggest since the People's Liberation Army forcibly occupied Tibet in 1950.
The Chinese attempt to destroy the last bastion of practicing spiritualism may not move the so called conscience keeper of the world-the US. In the circumstances, if the United Nation cannot act promptly to save the innocent lives it would be considered as another UN's passive act. A quiet inactive international community involved in purposeless intellectual jugglery, quietly watching the death and mayhem of innocent budhist monks whose only weapon is non-violence, confirms their increasing cowardiceness and unshakable bias towards human issue.
Tibbet being a neighboring country, it is the moral responsibility of India to speak for the Tibetan monks whose sufferings is no different from the sufferings of people in Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia, Congo and of African nations. India's protest has turned into murmur because India does not speak from the position of strength like its Chinese counterpart. India can only get its voice heard by the world community if it speaks from the position of superior military strength and self belief.
The monks of Tibbet love their practices for spiritual attainment. It keeps them together under Dalai Lama. The Chinese clearly wants the Budhist culture to disappear so that Tibet could serve their economic, strategic and geo political interest. The question is whether a community living in an isolated Himalayan region practicing for spiritual attainment and whose message is always love for all will be eliminated only because they have nobody to support their cause. Are religious practices is so obnoxious that it invites tank, missiles and a full army? Had Tibettan monks and their supporters constituted an organized vote banks in different countries, politicians like potential slaves could have organised protest rally in those countries in support of their cause. The famous author, John Osborne in his play "Look Back in Anger" rightly said the world has no brave cause left.
