Loot on arms point in Idgah Hills area

Bhopal, Mar 25: An under surveillance criminal along with his companion looted a mobile phone and cash from a youth on knife point in Idgah Hills area.

The accused forcefully took the youth in an auto rickshaw tried to kidnap him. Later when the police surrounded the area, one of the accused jumped from a multi storey building and got injured.

According to police, Mahesh Rajani(21), resident of Kailash Bhawan, Idgah Hills, works in a Pune based private telecommunication company. He set out to go Pune riding on his motorcycle at around 10 pm last night. His friend Babu was also with him, who was about to return leaving his friend at railway station.

As soon as he reached near Akash Tower, a speeding auto rickshaw was stopped near him.

Two culprits came out from the auto having sword and knife with them.

They tried to board the victim in auto rickshaw forcefully.

When they could not get success in their efforts , the accused snatched his mobile phone and purse and fled boarding in the autorickshaw.

Police said that the complainant identified the accused as under surveillance culprit, Raju Malviya and his companion Nafees.

On this basis the police surrounding the area chased the accused. Nafees trying to save himself entered into a multi storey building near Ridge Road.

Police also reached there. When the accused found himself surrounded, he jumped from the roof of the building.

He received injuries at his waist and other parts of his body.

Police have arrested the accused and admitted him in Hamidia hospital for treatment.

Raju Malviya who took away mobile and purse was being searched.

Notorious looters arrested-Kolar police have got success to arrest 2 notorious looters and recovered mobile and cash from their possession.

SP, Jaideep Prasad informed media persons today. On the basis of information received from informer, the accused Dhanpal Padri(22)and Akash alias Panchu(18) were arrested from New Ambedkar Nagar from their residence.

The culprits had committed loot incident on February 16 near Danish Ghati square. Police have recovered a looted mobile phone and Rs 1850 in cash from their possession.

The accused revealed one of their companion's name as Mukesh in interrogation.

Mukesh is under surveillance criminal, said SP.
