Axis Bank opens branch in MP

Bhopal, Mar 24: Axis Bank has stepped into Madhya Pradesh as SK Nandi President of the Bank inaugurated the Bank's new branch at Mandsaur today.

Speaking on the occasion Nandi said, "This marks yet another step towards the extensive consumer banking focus that we are providing across the country and reinforces our commitment to bring superior banking services, marked by convenience and closeness to customers.

The Bank has a network of 642 branches, 20 extension counters and 2707 ATMs across the country. The branches, spread across more than 399 cities and towns, enable the Bank to reach out to a large cross-section of customers with an array of products and services catering to both the retail and the corporate segment.

The Bank has presence in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Dubai, and seeks to expand further its international presence. It has the third largest ATM network in India; the third largest base of debit cards in the country, and also has the third largest EDC network. It has a customer base of 90-lakh and provides payroll services to over 12,000 Corporates across 28-lakh salary accounts. The market capitalisation of the Bank was Rs 30,069 crores; It is the fourth largest Bank by market capitalisation in India.

The Bank's centralised database enables customers to operate their accounts from anywhere in the country.
