Holi has myriad of colours

Bhopal Today Team

Bhopal, Mar 23: Holi is such a festival among Hindu traditions which ends whatever grudged people might harbour against each other during the entire year. But when they embrace each other after drenching with colours, they bury the hatched and start their relations anew. However, different people celebrate the Festival of Colour in their own ways. Some people observe serenity on this occasion while a number of them make all sorts of fun, frolic and amusing pranks. On this Holi festival, Bhopal Today Team had a tet-e-tete with some celebrities to know as to how they celebrate Festival of Colours.

Bhujbal Singh Ahirwar, state president, Bahujan Samaj Party.

Holi is a festival of forgetting everything in fun and frolic. As far as my experience goes, it is the day whne people forget about the complaints against each other. I too, celebrated the Holi in the same way. I played colours with poor and downtrodden people by applying Gulal and later distributed clothes among them. I also gave my blessing to them. I also extended heartiest greetings to the members of my party after playing Holi. It is indeed a memorable Holi for me as I passed most of my time with poor and downtrodden people.

Balmukund Namdev, general manager, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation.

During the day, I kept calling on my friends. Together we recalled our good old days and had lots of sweets. Sprinkled Gulal and water colours over each other with affection and love. I passed considerable time with my family members also since they also deserve my love and affection. After playing colours with my family members, I also vistied the houses of my colleagues and exchanged greetings and feeling of love.

Pawan Shrivastava, Director Culture Department.

I did not get time to play Holi when I was on police duty. But this time I got the chance as well time to celebrate the Festival of Colours with aplomb and fun. I met my friends and removed their longstanding complaint of not playing Holi with them earlier. I also visited the houses of my acqaintances and celebrated Holi with family members. Really, this is most memorable Holi of my life when I sprayed Gulal and colours freely and greed friends and relatives.

Anju Singh Baghel, chairperson, Women's Finance Development Corporation.

This time I was out of Bhopal and celebrated Holi in Satna. But it was very nice since I was among my family members, relatives in my native place. Indeed the occasion of sharing happiness with our near and dear ones is a different and most pleasing experience of one's life. This is my most memorable Holi since it was for the first time almost all of my family members, relatives and friends in the village were present together.

Jamuna Devi, leader of the opposition in MP Assembly.

Of course, I celebrated the Festival of Colours, with aplomb, pomp and show. I applied Gulal to whoever came to my residence to play Holi with me and offered sweets to them. I also extended them my heartiest greetings. I also attened various programmes where Holi was being played by the masses.

Babulal Gaur, Commercial Tax Minister, Madhya Pradesh.

I observed Holi in a different way. First of all I attended Holika Dahan and Mahamurkha Sammelan at Barkheri where Mayor Sunil Sood, PC Sharma, Umashankar Gupta and other distinguished leaders and persons were present. Later, I played Holi with people and party workers of my consituency separately. I also took part in Holi Milan Samaroh which was held in my constituency.
