Wrong question hits examinees

Bhopal, Mar 23: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Class XII Mathematics examination held on March 20 carried a wrong question (Question No. 25 of the first set of (65/1), probably due to printing error, alleged Sangeeta Yadav, Head of the Department (Mathematics), St. Joseph's Convent Senior Secondary School, Idgah Hills, Bhopal.

In a press note issued here Sunday, she said due to printing error in the Question No. 25, students were unable to solve the question and wasted a lot of time in trying alternative methods to get a solution due to which some students were unable to complete the paper.

The Question carried 6 mark and following it were four other questions of 6 marks.

She urged the Central Board of Secondary Education to look into the matter and compensate students with bonus marks in future.

She also urged the Board make some provisions in future to check such printing errors before conducting the examination.
