India’s Test team vice-captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and off spinner Harbhajan Singh have cleared the fitness test, paving way for their participation in the first Test against the visiting South Africans.
 
Tirkey wants three-month break from hockey

After the doomed Olympic qualification campaign, veteran Indian defender Dilip Tirkey wants to take a break from hockey for three months to recover from an ankle injury and decide his future.
 
Fisichella posts 9th fastest time in 2nd practice session  

Sepang (Malaysia), Mar 21:
For the second event running, Giancarlo Fisichella posted a top 10 time, just under two seconds from the fastest lap recorded by McLaren's Lewis Hamilton at the second practice session ahead of Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix here on Friday.

Sledging is set to be banned by cricket`s governing body the ICC which has been prodded by the Indian Cricket Board to take tough action to curb unsporting behaviour on the field.
 
Hair may umpire England-NZ series

Australian Darrell Hair, reinstated to the ICC`s Elite Panel of umpires, is likely to make his comeback by officiating in the England`s Test series against New Zealand in May.
