New hope for Sarabjit's release: Now, all depends on the new Govt

Democracy is taking shape in the Pakistan. First time in the history of the country, a woman, Fahameeda Mirza has been selected to be the Speaker of the Assembly. Now it has become clear that Pakistan People's Party (PPP) joint President Asif Ali Zardari will be the Prime Minister of the country. Meanwhile in this political gyrate, Pakistan President Pervez Mushrraf signed on the death order of Indian citizen Sarabajit Singh, languishing in Kot Lakhpat jail. Seventeen yeara back Pakistan Police had arrested Sarabajit Singh, in an inebriated state in Pakistani territory. He was accused as kingpin behind the four blasts in Lahore and awarded with capital punishment by a Pak court. The family members of Sarabjit pleaded for leniency but it was rejected. He was ordered to be hanged on April one. Now that order has been put off to April 30. Now, Sarabjit's fate depends upon the the new government-whether to set him free or to punish him. The PPP joint President has already announced to take measures to strengthen its relations with India. Even PMLN leader and former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has spoken in similar teerms. According to information, the Pakistan Human Rights Minister is currently busy in drafting rules for release of Pakistanis in Indian jails. But the Indian people are against arriving at any such agreement as the Indian government too is against release of any terrorists behind bars. Such conditions are not even welcomed by Sarabjit's family members who say the nation's security is more important for them too.
