Bhopal, Mar 20: Man has always given importance to its entertainment and relaxation. For these purposes, it has developed different means of recreations. In 21st Century, because of paucity of time, it is not possible play outdoor games. In such a situation, cartoon comes to rescue to provide entertainment. When we talk about cartoon, one obviously gets the impression of funny characters and enjoyment. Cartoons are those imaginary funny creations which make us laugh and hence helping us to forget tensions and worries of life. Some times back, the name of 'Mogli' created ripples among public specially children. It was a cartoon serial telecast on Doordarshan and was very much liked by all age groups. Thus, it can be said that with the change of times interest towards Cartoons in children has increased. They like all types of Cartoon serials on Television. From Mickey Mouse to Pokemon to Dorimon to Reja Hatodi to Tom&Jerry, all of them generate excitement and fun in them.

The forms of Cartoon serials have also changed with the changing times. For example, there is a full fledged Cartoon Channel 'Pogo' fully based on Cartoons.

Despite of their tiresome study schedule, students anyhow spare some time to see Cartoons as they are the most favourite means of entertainment to them. Sunday, totally dedicated to Cartoons. Viewing Cartoons is the first choice among children in the present times. In this context, we interviewed some children to know why do they like Cartoons.

What do children say

Rahul, a student of class 4 is very much fond of viewing Cartoons. He says 'I make it a point to see Cartoon serials like Piccacho, Tom&Cherry. Cartoon serials on Pogo channel appeal to me. Besides this, I see Cartoon films through CD bought from the market'. Similarly, Steny Session John who is a student of class 5 finds Cartoon serials very attractive. She says 'I am viewing Cartoon serials since childhood and still find them fascinating. I never forget to see Micky Mouse Cartoon serial'.

'Cartoon serials are very much liked by children. Whenever I find any Cartoon serial on Television, I never miss to see it. 'Mogli' is my favourite. Cochin Cromin, Vicky Betal Cartoons are also liked by me' says Apurv Agarwala studying in Class Second.

Gullu who is studying in Class First maintains the same views. He says 'I am a big fan of Cartoon serials and a regular viewer of Pogo channel. I see cartoon films of Dori Mon with great interest.
