Conference on Automobile engineering ends

Bhopal, Mar 20: On conclusion of the three-day national conference organised by Automobile Engineering Department of Oriental Institute of Science and Technology in association with the Institution of Engineers (India) on March 20, prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners. The conference focused on the innovative trends in automobile sector.

PK Shrivastava, CEO, CRISP was the chief guest on this occasion. He said that the Gandhian policy of education which talks about practical as well as theoretical knowledge is very well maintained by Oriental Group. Director of OIST, Dr AN Sinha gave his welcome speech and briefed everyone about the activities held during the conference.

Chairman of OGI, KL Thakral showered blessings on this occasion. He desired that after Tata Motors, it will be Oriental Institute, which will design a new car.

At the inaugural session on March 18 Dilip Chenoy Director General, SIAM, talked about challenges and innovation in automobile engineering, while on the second day, a special exhibition on 'Automobile Engineering', paper presentation and quiz competition were held. Robotic contest was the key event on the last day of the conference.

Head of Automobile Engineering Department and Convenor of the Conference Prof VN Bartaria congratulated all the participants. He assured that his department would take initiative in future also to provide the students such platforms where they can come up with their innovations.
