Srinagar, Mar 19: A high intensity blast rocked Srinagar on Wednesday evening. The blast, which went off outside the Civil Secretariat near Jehangir Hotel in Jehangir Chowk on an over bridge, injured several people. No deaths have been reported so far.

It is reported that a VIP cavalcade was to pass from that area. The exact number of injured is yet to be reported. Meanwhile, security personnel have reached the spot and the injured are being sent to the hospital.

The police has not yet commented on the incident.
