Bhopal, Mar 18: All India Civil Service Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Championship-2007-08 was organised at the auditorium of Medical College (Chhattisgarh) under the aegis of Government of Chhattisgarh. The championship was inaugurated by the Director General of Chhattisgarh Academy of Administration, BKS Ray (IAS) and Dr Subhash Anne (IPS), Additional Director General of Chhattisgarh Police.

In this championship, Weightlifting and Bodybuilding team of Madhya Pradesh Civil Services put up excellent performance and Anand Minj of Madhya Pradesh Team bagged gold medal in 75 Kg group. He was awarded as Mister India Civil Services in Overall Championship. Ravindra Kode of Madhya Pradesh Team bagged bronze medal in 75 kg group.

Coach of Madhya Pradesh Team Syed Mumtaz Ali and Manager Udai Pratap Singh were also present. The prize distribution ceremony of the championship was also organised and Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Government of Chhattisgarh Brijmohan Agrawal distributed prizes among the successful participants. The Secretary of General Administration Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh SD Agrawal congratulated the players of Madhya Pradesh for their achievements.
