There are very few people who think above the self and give their share for the betterment of the society. Pramila Maini, director of Institute for Excellence in Higher Education is one of them who help others without any expectation.
It is said that service to man is service to God. She said that she personifies herself with disheartened and dejected people and help them to come out of their traumas.
While talking about her experiences of helping others, she said that once she helped 24 students of Andaman. She said that actually she was not acquainted with any of them or had not seen any of them before. These students were waiting for the admission for Bachelor in Education course. Due to some reason their admission was cancelled. She received a call from someone regarding the admission of 24 Andaman students. Actually, this matter was not in her jurisdiction. Yet she did not give up and carried on fight for the right of unknown students. Finally, these students got admission in desired college.
While reminiscing about her past experiences, she said that long back she was working with Nutan College. Youth Festival was going on in Hindi Bhawan and some physically challenged students were waiting for their turn for the presentation in programme. One can easily guess watching their excitement that this was their first presentation. But unfortunately, suddenly their programme was cancelled. So all were in dejected mood. She advocated for the presentation of these students. Finally, things turned positive and again programme was arranged at TT Nagar Stadium. Physically challenged students gave their best dance performances. She was very happy that she could do something for others' betterment.
She believes that helping others is a noble job and one should do it as one's moral duty.
