Bhopal, Mar 18: A three-day youth festival was organised by the students of Mittal Institute of Technology with various cultural and sports activities like fresher's party, table tennis, carom board, javelin throw , shot put, discuss throw and cricket. The chief guest, Director Sports & youth welfare was welcomed by the Director of the institute Harmohan Singh. On the occasion faculty members, staff and all the students of Mittal Institute of Technology were present. The chief guest addressed the students and emphasized the importance of sports in over all growth of personality and fitness in life.

Most of the students participated in the various activities, specially students were very enthusiastic about cricket. All the competitions were very closely contested and exciting. The participants displayed their talent and merit.

Those who won various sports competitions included Allem Khan (EC) and Prerna Pawar (IT) in TT, S Rangnathan (EC) in chess, Abhinav Singh (CSE) and Vivek Dahawal in carom, Aditya Birthere (CSE) in discus throw, Nihal Ghanghat (ME) in javelin throw, Aditya Birthere in shot put. Final cricket match was played between EC and ME branches. ME branch defeated EC branch by seven wickets. Promod Pal from EC was man of the match and Ajendra Raghuwanshi was declared man of the series.

On 17th of March, Freshers' Party was organized at Vrindavan Garden, Hosangabad road to welcome the new students of the college. On the occasion chief guest Dr Sunil Kapoor, Member Prasar Bharti Board and Chairman of the RKDF Group of professional institutes, Dr Sadhna Kapoor, member, National Film Censer Board were greeted with thunderous applause by all present. Chairman of the Mittal Institute of Technology Prof NK Mittal Secretary Surendra Mittal and Director Harmohan Singh extended floral welcome to the chief guests.

The cultural programme started after lighting of lamps by chief guest and other dignitaries. Students presented various songs, dances, skits and Qawwali and audience were spell bond and clapped with every musical beat. It was extraordinary performance by young budding engineers.

At the conclusion of the programme winners were awarded by Dr Sunil Kapoor, Dr Sadhana Kapoor, Prof NK Mittal, Ms Mittal, Surendra Mittal and Harmohan Singh.

Sayed Ali and Ms Priyanka Jain were announced Mr and Ms Eve.

The program ended with vote of thanks by Director Harmohan Singh.
