BJP legislator Sunil Nayak today staged a walk out in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly alleging that his statements were not given due importance. During the Zero Hour, Nayak turned to Speaker Ishwardas Rohani and said he had given only one notice for call attention motion during the budget session but it was not accepted. He started to speak continuously over the matter.
The Speaker urged him to remain calm but when Nayak did not heed he directed that the statements by the member not be recorded. Later, Nayak staged a walk out. Nayak, who is known to be a close confidant of former chief minister Uma Bharti, has been suspended from the BJP due to anti-party activities.
1,306 acre land given to Reliance

Industry Minister Jayant Malaiya today informed the Assembly that prospecting licence has been provided to the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group besides 1,306-hectare land at Raghurajnagar tehsil in Satna district for setting up a cement plant.
Replying to supplementary questions by Narayan Tripathi (SP) during the Question Hour, Malaiya said land has also been provided to the ACC to set up a plant in Katni district. The government would make efforts to ensure that local people get maximum employment from these industries.
On the intervention by Speaker Ishwardas Rohani, Malaiya said action would be taken soon on the pending proposals related to promotion to the post of the Deputy Director in the Industry Department so that promotion could take place after the meeting of the departmental promotion committee.
The Speaker said the proposal for promotion was pending from a year and timely action must be taken to ensure no further delay.
No decision to close down Woollen Centre

The government today informed the Assembly that no decision had been taken yet about closure of the Khadi and Gramodyog Board's Woollen Blanket Centre at Mandsaur though the Board was considering to hand it over to the employees or their representatives or other committees.
Replying to a call attention notice on the issue moved by Omprakash Purohit (BJP), Gramodyog Minister Karan Singh Verma said the Board had not received Rs 1 crore from the Khadi Commission as grant or the same had been retained by the Board at its headquarters.
Purohit said the employees had not been paid their wages for over eight months. The Minister said Board's Managing Director Ashok Naronha and Centre in charge Gopal Baghelwal had been suspended for various irregularities in running the Centre. Several workers were engaged in an irregular manner, he said.
The stock available at the centre was not being allowed by the workers to be lifted for its sale elsewhere, Verma said, adding Ujjain Divisional Commissioner would inquire into various irregularities.
