Agencies

Peshawar, Mar 17: At least 20 people were reported killed as several missiles hit a house in Pakistan's South Waziristan Agency on Sunday.

Seven missiles were fired from an unknown site and they hit a house in Toog village, which is located about four kilometers south of WANA, the regional headquarters of the South Waziristan Agency.

Local journalist Sailab Mehsud said at least 20 people were killed and another five wounded in the missile attack. He said all those who had died were Arabs and Turkmen.

According to the Daily Times, the house belonged to Noorullah.

Military spokesman Major General Athar Abbas said he had received reports about the attack, but had no details about the casualties.

Taliban and their local supporters have since cordoned off the compound to retrieve the bodies from the rubble.
