Bhopal, Mar 16: The Palm Sunday was observed at Bhopal St. Thomas Orthodox Cathedral on 16.03.08. The programme was started with Morning Prayer at 7 am followed by Holy Qurbana and Palm Sunday special service. On this auspicious occasion a procession was also taken out around the Cathedral, holding palm leaves in the hand of the believers. The entire programme was solemnized by Rev. Fr. Sam Oommen Panackamattam.

According to statement issued by the Cathedral the remaining Passion Week Programme will be observed at the Cathedral, as per the details given below.

19.03.08 Wednesday: 5.30 pm - 6.30 pm: Absolution. 6.30 pm - 9.30. pm: Vespers, Maundy Thursday Service & Holy Qurbana.

20. 03.08: Maundy Thursday: 6.30 pm-7.30 pm Vespers.

21.03.08 Good Friday: 8.00 am - 4.30 pm: Good Friday Service, Procession of Cross, Devotional Address, Adoration of the Cross. 4.30 pm: Distribution of Nercha Kanji.

22.03.08 Gospel Saturday: 6.00 am - 7.30 am: Morning Prayer & Holy Qurbana. 6.30 pm - 7.30 pm: Vespers

23.03.08: Easter Sunday: 2.00 am - 6.00 am: Midnight Prayer, Easter Service, Procession & Holy Qurbana.

Bhopal, Mar 16: Prayer meeting was organised in all the Churches of BHEL Area for remembering the days of sorrows of Jesus Christ. St John's Church Evangelical Luthran Church, Security Line, BHEL also observed Palm Sunday. Rev Dr Anil Martin delivered discourse. Seven teachings of Jesus Christ would be remembered on Good Friday on March 21.
