All out efforts are being made by the state government for development of every region. After Khajuraho, Indore and Jabalpur now an investors meet is being organised on April 8 at Sagar. The event would pave the way for integrated development of Bundelkhand region. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would inaugurate the meet in the Golden Jubilee auditorium of Dr Harisingh Gaur University, Sagar.
This was informed by the Minister for Industries Jayant Malaiya at the first meeting convened in connection with the meet at Sagar today.
Addressing the meeting, the Minister said that very talented students come out of the portals of educational institutions every year. The state government wants to utilise their talent in all round development of the different regions of the state.
Malaiya informed that the meet aims at acquainting the investors and industrialists of the state and outside with the potential of Bundelkhand region. Preparations for the meet are being made on the basis of investors' needs, available resources and infrastructure. Investors desirous of investing in medical, education and energy sectors are being approached. The Chief Minister will also launch a scheme for beautification and environmental development of Sagar Lake before the investors meet.
Malaiya directed to work out systematic programmes for providing land, water and other basic amenities to the investors. The meeting also discussed the construction of a stop dam across Sanodha river to obtain water from Rajghat project for industrial development of Bundelkhand.
Industries Commissioner Deepak Khandekar informed that 550 entrepreneurs are being invited to the investors meet. Member of Parliament, Veerandra Kumar; MLA Ms Sudha Jain and other public representatives and officers attended the meeting.
